Back from Sweden (an awesome place, with awesomely attractive people) and catching up on the web stuff. Some quick links then.
Wish I'd seen this before I went travelling: the 1942 guide How To Spot A Jap.
To heal your brain with some nice art you could do a lot worse than Mioke. Hit paintings, then blacksnow, then click on the images. Wonderful, intense, dark. They remind me of Jim Woodring. And of the spectres in His Dark Materials. I would give my pancreas to have one of these on me wall. LITERALLY.

And Mr Woodring uses Moleskine too, so there.

Blacksnow > These are beautiful. I especially like the one of the thingies coming out of the water.
Your pancreas > Is worth three cola cubes and a foamy banana at VERY best, i’m sure.

Perhaps you should scan a few pages of your moleskine and slap 'em up here for a more authentic read.
Have you read The Art of Travel? It's a really simple and great book.
You seem to write more about places of transit than your actual destinations. Tis interesting.

What an excellent idea. Will try and find something that doesn’t look too schizophrenic.
> Art of Travel
Righto, looks interesting.
> transit
In truth I really enjoy certain aspects of the transit (the bits without heavy bags, clearly). Being in planes, on trains. The sense of being in limbo, of being nowhere. I generally feel a faint sense of disappointment when planes have to land.
In this case it’s coincidence though, that’s the only bit I got to write up ahead of time. More actual stuff if I get some more hours.

Nooo, you have to pick pages at random and not cheat.

I’m looking for a banner image to go in the TF header above.
You see the image in this post?
What if someone chopped a horizontal strip out of that cool image and placed it right-justified in the header? And added a gradient fading to black on the left side?
Who could have such skills?
