2005

Read all about it. Now its your turn, my pretties.

1. What did you do in 2005 that you’d never done before?

Loads. Graduated, moved to London, paid disgusting amounts of tax, worked harder than ever before, somehow suddenly became attractive to women, ate caviar! sunbathed topless, became part of the economy.

2. Did you keep your new years’ resolutions, and will you make more for next year?

Yes and no. I already have, and intend to stick to them. I have 10.

No.

No.

5. What countries did you visit?

6. What would you like to have in 2006 that you lacked in 2005?

Stability, in every sense of the word. I have wrinkles from this year.

9. What was your biggest failure?

Giving myself a far harder time than was entirely necessary.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?

Hell yes! Some quite crazy stuff, but by far and away the worst was *that* delerious trip to the dentist. Dannii will always be on my christmas card list for her services that day.

Lots of little things, really. Good books and a ridiculous amount on going out.

Getting the hell out of Dundee : )

I was 25. I went for an early lunch at Carluccio’s in Kensington with my friend Jen, followed by a couple of hours at the proms in the Royal Albert Hall. I don’t know how quantifiable the term ‘best’ is.. Lots. Two particular gems are Dr. Hann and Ms. Smith.

39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2005:

That i’m dead nice, me.

40. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year

no.

‘I fell asleep, and dreamed of a door opening. Doors opened into rooms
that opened onto doors that opened into rooms. We burst through,
panelled, baize, flush glazed, steel, reinforced, safe doors, secret
doors, double doors, trap doors. The forbidden door that can only be
opened with a small silver key. The door that is no door in Rapunzel’s
lonely tower.

You are the door in the rock that finally swings free when the
moonlight shines on it. You are the door at the top of the stairs that
only appears in dreams. You are the story that sets the prisoner free.
You are the carved low door into the chapel of the grail. You are the
door at the edge of the world. You are the door that opens onto a sea
of stars.

Open me. Wide. Narrow. Pass through me, and whatever lies on the other
side could not be reached except by this. This you. This now. This
caught moment opening into a lifetime.’
