Festival time, here we go again. Need to catch up on sleep so can’t update properly yet. Seen Daniel Kitson, Stewart Lee, Richard Herring and Chris Addison so far, all excellent. Will update when there’s time…

To Air, spot on for explaining the tools for fun and for your generousity, here is a guy who is all round excellence with good humour?

Hello! Is anyone going to any of the film festival stuff? 22nd to the 25th, the animation I helped out on, ‘Get Bizzy’ is being shown as part of some sort of Cineworks or McLaren thing or something. It stars Josie Lawrence and Tim McInnery. Can you imagine?!?!?
It is good fun and there are other films and stuff I guess so you should go and see it. I do not know times or prices.
Other than that, hey! I go to soak up atmosphere of book festival and hopefully see some contemporary Japanese art.
I love the festival, but I am missing it all! Graaargh! I knew I wouldn’t be living in Edinburgh on time, I just knew it…

Alas the umbilical bros. will have to miss me, as I evidently will accompany Ree and P to see funny celebrity Stewart Lee imminently. Ah gee.

Dont’ worry I’m missing it all too. It’s amazing you actually don’t hear *anything* about the festival outside of Edinburgh. This is my only reminder that it’s actually on.
Gah, well there’s always next year.

Yeah, I remember there used to be festival roundups on at 11PM on ITV and suchlike. What happened? Aside from a brief and poor interview with some comedian on Scotland Today at lunchtimes, there is barely any coverage.
Incidentally when does the festival finish? End of august, I guess? I gotta get some culture in me, fast.

“What happened?”
Not wanting to appear too negative or a cultural philistine, how about, no-one outside Edinburgh gives a shit about the festival. I know I certainly don’t. Absolutely hate festival time in the city.

Scotland Today: I think we get North Today, or something shit.
I quite like the sound of the Film Festival: if you could ever actually get tickets for anything.
Nevermind, I’m sure my time is better spent researching German terrorists of the left-wing persuasion.
