SWOON
Spent all day Sunday watching the exquisite BBC adaptation of Pride and Prejudice with Spunky and Elspeth and learned to like Strongbow (but only if it is decanted into a wine glass).
I was shocked and dismayed to hear that Keira twunting Knightly was to appear in a new adaptation of the book with some twonk playing Mr Darcy. I will not be going to see this.
That will be all.

What? A new version? Already? B…but it was just out, like, a few years ago…
Any votes for who we think’ll play Darcy, then? Fingers crossed for Ben Stiller…
Only joking, kids.
Jim Carrey.

It was 10 years ago and I was studying Pride and Prejudice for my Standard Grades.

10 years ago?!?!?
I was going to say ‘man, I was only 11!’ then I realised I am not 21 I am 24.
Time is my cruel enemy.

ho ho, were you one of those cool guys who wasn’t embarrassed to watch it on the tele?

I was one of those cool guys who was round at his only friends house, watching Evil Dead 2 and writing up rules for using Star Wars vehicles in Warhammer 40K. I think watching Pride and Prejudice on telly was the least of my embarrassments.
The more I think about it, the more I realise I had the best teenage years out of anyone I know. Booze and girls are for losers.
Also, ‘Pah!’ to Strongbow. It is Magners that is king of cider.

That britpop thing is utterly heartbreaking. Recent memory as nostalgia. Shit.
