This week the Republic*nt convention kicked off with an entire day devoted to the WTC attack, and why it should convince you to keep Bush in charge. An array of popular fascists have taken turns to explain why the president is the best take-the-war-to-the-enemy leader since Churchill.
The top credibility-shattering quote comes from Mayor Giuliani, allegedly uttered on 9/11:
“Spontaneously, I grabbed the arm of the police commissioner … and said, ‘Thank God George Bush is our president.’”
What a fucking arse hole.
Next up with the speeches today was – *splutter* – Arnie. Unbelievable. “I’ll be back[ing an imbecile]“, clearly.
Actually a quick sweep of the news reveals that – holy shit – he really did make a comment of the form “America is back”. I really hope he makes prez one day.

And Michael Moore said unto the liberals, worry not, and pointed out the incredibly crass Purple Heart Band Aid campaign.

The Republicans are terrifying. Does anyone else have this horrible gut feeling that Bush is going to be the President and High Commander of Concentrated Non-Awesomeness for another 4 years?
