Despite and because of the endless dreary pishing rain, I got together with my cousin (codename: Brins) last night to catch some comedy culture in the coupon.
An old favourite of mine from Fist of Fun, this year Richard Herring (who’s on Friendster incidentally, and whose chum-network therein features that Dickon fellow that Rosy once saw) is performing The Twelve Tasks of Hercules Terrace, a polished hour-long anecdote-fest about the his self-imposed tribulations over the past year.
Though not as densely clever as the Lee show, it’s amusing, personal and impressively delivered. For further depth Richey punts in some observations on sanity and superstition – having almost unbelievably completed CNPS – and what makes our lives worthwhile.
Not as outright hilarious as Christ On a Bike was, but consistently interesting and entertaining.

Thinking of going to see that captain of camp Craig Hill at Pod Deco. Haven’t seen him live before but thought he was hilarious in the Floor Show on TV. Can anyone recommend?

I enjoy the whole festival. The atmosphere blows my balls off. Now if I could only convince my friends to go to different pubs. Just for the duration of the festival. Graaaah.
Being in Glenrothes means I’m missing festival laffs. I blew all my money playing a gig/going to a music festival in Aberdeen this weekend. It were awesome braw but it meant missing a whole weekend of Edinburgh festival dudeness. Oh well, next years will roll back around depressingly fast anyway…

Craig Hill > Meh.
Festival > The Olympics is the new festival. There’s this one american chick on the swim team… I’d stick my head up her fanny and wear her as a hat, she’s that nice.

I dunno, she looks a wee bit like The Predator when it takes it’s mask off…

Grrr. This isn’t her. Let me take a wee look..

I can’t find her. That stupidly athletic, borderline androgenous look does it for me in ways you can’t begin to imagine, though…
*puts another 50p in the ‘I Must Not Fancy Ladies’ box and begins another half hour of flagellation*
