Oooh-ooh, look kids. Ed-born graffiti artist/illustrator Elph has updated his site for spring. I love this guy. No, I actually I adore him. Went to his exhibition at the bongo club in 2002, and have been in awe of his stuff ever since. He did a screenprint for analogue last summer, but it sold out in a jiffy. Anywho, go check him out. Yeas.

I really am – as long as it’s innovative, and even if it’s not, it can inspire stuff that really is. Take Basquiat, for example. It’s a really rich subculture, with its own agenda entirely. Born of political backlash, synonymous with anarchy, and getting away with it. It’s got more in common with your avarage person in the street than fine art. I think it’s amazing. As long as it’s slightly more inventive than than a straight tag, and a bit more communicative than ‘fuck the polis’ I think it’s all good. Fucksticks. That’s what I should’ve done my dissertation on…
