Terrifying. And no amount of pithy talk about 'mourning without fear' is going to change what's looking really rather inevitable. The same article came to the conclusion that if we had a multinational anti-terrorist taskforce, it would still be operating at a fraction of the budget that the US was, before 9/11. Clearly though, money doesn't even enter into the equation. .. as put perfectly in the guardian this morning, ‘The wind is blowing in our direction’. Terrifying.
