work news and fads

Harking back to the grand days of Pat Mycock at stu’s workplace. At the opposite end of the name spectrum, here at Sky I am proud to have personally worked with the finely-named experts Kristan Bullett and Carolus Walraven. Amusingly I reckon this entry will be the only Google hits for those names (hello chaps!).

Last night was go-karting in Cambuslang. Results from 8-man races: win, win (started 8th!), 4th (started 6th), win, 6th (cynically taken out, losing 1st place overall). Finished 5th out of 40 racers, excellent competitive fun.

And as the almost respectable instance of the endless personality tests flooding blogs everywhere, the latest fad at work is the Jung-Myers-Briggs typology test. A very quick categorisation into one of the 16 temperament types. I was pigeonholed thus:

Aaron Bell (Field Marshal/Mastermind, Rationalist):
ENTJ
01% Extroverted (vs. Introverted)
33% Intuitive (vs. Sensing)
22% Thinking (vs. Feeling)
33% Judging (vs. Perceiving)
