Harking back to the grand days of Pat Mycock at stu’s workplace. At the opposite end of the name spectrum, here at Sky I am proud to have personally worked with the finely-named experts Kristan Bullett and Carolus Walraven. Amusingly I reckon this entry will be the only Google hits for those names (hello chaps!).
Last night was go-karting in Cambuslang. Results from 8-man races: win, win (started 8th!), 4th (started 6th), win, 6th (cynically taken out, losing 1st place overall). Finished 5th out of 40 racers, excellent competitive fun.
And as the almost respectable instance of the endless personality tests flooding blogs everywhere, the latest fad at work is the Jung-Myers-Briggs typology test. A very quick categorisation into one of the 16 temperament types. I was pigeonholed thus:
Aaron Bell (Field Marshal/Mastermind, Rationalist):
ENTJ
01% Extroverted (vs. Introverted)
33% Intuitive (vs. Sensing)
22% Thinking (vs. Feeling)
33% Judging (vs. Perceiving)

This is truly worrying.
Your Type is ENTP [borderlines Inventor/Champion, Rationalist/Idealist - ed.]
Extroverted 44
Intuitive 56
Thinking 1
Perceiving 33
I’m forever being accused of thinking too much, but i’m far from rational. Eye opening. *trundles off to google to read up on ENTP*

Funnily enough, we actually have a Karl Gunner working with us too… ha ha.
Thought you would have edited out your client name Mr Bell?

While generally a good idea, in this case (i) I’m not an employee and (ii) they’re big enough not to give a flying focknig : )

Hrmm, I do, of course, have to point out the real definitions of the personality types.
You’re welcome, Tyrant-boy.

We had a Dutch import underwriter for a few weeks who has been blessed with the name Ben de Kocke – I shit you not! Funnily enough, at the weekly self flagellation session otherwise known as Team Talk, where new arrivals and leavers are announced, the aforementioned Mr de Kocke was mysteriously left out of the roll-call both on his arrival and on his departure. hmm – funny that!

I don’t know how these names were spelled, but I worked in the same company as a Chewy Kok (Chinese Lady) and went through school with a Gherkin Gonker (Turkish, I think).

It’s what I got as well. I am down with Gandhi. And Tom Selleck.

We are keeping company with Gandhi and Nelson Mandela while Air is up there with Nixon and Margaret Thatcher.

There should really be a space between ‘was’ and ‘no’. Oh well.
There was a girl in my class called P P Ho.

Sorry. I am slightly wired on coffee and paint.

Ya buncha bleedy hearty saps, drinking paint and worrying about world peace.
I see a problem – I eat a problem, and wash it down with a steaming hot cup of risk.

Unfortunately those most capable of ending world poverty are usually those least likely to want to.

Very interesting I thought.
Shame they didn’t keep the popularly-understood Authoritarian/Libertarian measure on the horizontal scale though.

Slightly further in than never-to-be-a-world-leader CJ.
Also note the political company kept by the late Pope.
