Watched a pirate of The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (and a Bird*) last night. A film so lightweight it’s virtually aerogel. Some uninteresting and preposterous stuff happens. The characters, violence and British (ish) dialogue work out quite well though. Sean is very good, a relief after the purest embarrassment of Entrapment.

i shot a hole in my pants when i heard about the league but i plan to avoid it as i avoided the hulk, judge dredd etc. saw pirates of the caribbean on the ferry to amsterdam and apart from deppo it was stale grog. although i have to say i had a blinding time on deck afterwards running up and down under the full moony, tempesty sky pretending to be orlando bloom.
