Well the boys have gone and done it. Over a few drinks last night we booked flights to Prague, leaving 4th October. Stu, P Moseley and Bell on a two-week tour of the Czech Rep, Germany and Holland. Our mission: to find cheap beer and cheaper women of the kind only central Europe can offer.
Hopefully our first residence will be this place. Anyone got recommendations for places to go in Deutschland?

a) please, please, bring me back lots of febo. Febo is my Valhalla. My favourites are: kipburger, speciaalburger, asianburger, grillburger. I cannot stress how Febo bonkers I am. No interaction with the funny foreigners required, just tasty burgers. b) Don’t come back with the clap (that’s ‘clappen’ in German).

AND MUSHROOMS. Bring me mushrooms. I will reimburse. Juicy Mexican ones maybe. Last time I was over there, customs on the way back was laughable, they didn’t look at my passport properly (if they had, they would have seen a photo of what was apparently a 15 yr old boy with Led Zep hair but is actually me and eyed me with suspicion) and there was a phone on the way out with a sign saying “call if you have anything to declare. Like, duh! I could have had my pockets stuffed with dodgy gear. And then phoned up to “declare” that I was off outside to smoke it.

Beerfest is on in glorious Munchen from Sept 20th to Oct 5th or the Cannstatter Volksfest in Stuttgart from Sept 27th to Oct 12th. Don’t know about the cheap beer but the women are plentiful and up for it.

please bring back some f6 lights (my fav brand fags only to be found in Dresden area)
Ok as I’m mildly acquainted with the Fatherland here are my recommendations.
For cheap women, you can’t go wrong with Hamburg. Tho it’s a bit of a detour and not really worth it in my opinion (tho I’m not really into cheap women)
Well, if you’re coming from Prague a quick stop in Dresden is a must. Lots of impressive reconstruction (tho they could leave a few more buildings as ruins in my opinion as a reminder or something)
Leipzig. Ok but only if your interested in communist architecture etc. More eastern in feel to Dresden and the Stasi Museum is alright.
Berlin Berlin.. i can’t praise the place enough. Museums- the Hamburger Bahnhof is ace. Filmmuseum, Potsdammer Platz is not bad if ur a German film fan which I know at least two of you are (Air I’ve yet to converse with u on the topic) Oranienburger Strasse- good bars etc. Also recommend the Third Reich walking tour (not usually into guided tours but these places are rather tricky2 find on ur own (eg. Hitler’s bunker is now a car park/ children’s playground))
Cheap beer?- don’t ask me I don’t drink!
Well, i’ve blabbered on enough I’m sure u’ll have a great time.

I recommend you to visit Dresden City. The Zwinger is really excellent.

Weird. That post doesn’t even look like it was written by me. I must have thought text speak and sloppy use of punctuation was cool back in 2003. Fuck five years ago!
