Don’t you just hate acronyms? Working in IT you have to deal with them all the time, and I have come across some truly awful ones in the past. Although I particularly like this one, which forms part of an email we received this morning:

From today, all Suspicious Incident Reports (SIRs) and supporting documentation should be sent via internal mail to the Suspicious Transactional Activity Review Team (START) in Livingston.

Those are pretty rotten. I hate the ones twisted into actual words too (START etc).
Focknig hundreds of TLAs here, I had to start a doc to keep track of them all…
