weekly report

Another week draws to a close bringing forth yet another weekend of debauchery. Bring it on.

Things I’ve been up to this week have included mostly:

Harry Potter:

Yes, I am about 400 pages into the latest Harry Potter opus and am enjoying it immensely – there are a couple of characters that I could really do without but on the whole it’s great fun. I can proudly admit that I have read all the Harry Potter books without having to spend a single penny. Not that JK would worry…

Bee Thousand:

The mighty BT are heading to the studio on the 19th July to record our seven completed tracks. I can proudly say that one of these tracks – the dazzlingly titled Stuart’s House – was penned by my fine self (music, not the lyrics). Other song title highlights include Easy Reach, 140 (it lasts approx 1min 40secs) and what, for me, is one of the best song titles I have ever heard: Tools for my Car. We’ll be recording the tracks live and will be doing vocals and guitar overdubs seperately. I may lend my lead guitar skills on some overdubs which would make me happy.

I will also be purchasing a fine Fender Jazz Bass over the weekend hopefully, depending on my hangover. And a new set of bass strings ; )

Flatmates:

Procured ourself a new flatmate last night, a charming Aussie lad called Matt. Now we need one female and Manor Place v2.0 will be complete.

Party:

It’s tonight. Lock up your guitars and women because Robbie will be there. Come.
