Finished my download of the beta test version last night and fired it up. I’m extremely pleased to report it’s astonishingly impressive – Stu was there, ask him : )
The atmosphere as you begin is immersive to say the least. After some training in the VR rooms (where you can play with the full range of weapons and vehicles) you step out into the Sanctuary courtyard and straight into a bustling scene from Star Wars.
Music swells as you wander amongst people and vehicles scurrying around attending to tasks, fighters whining overhead, Galaxy troop carriers loading up with infantry and light vehicles before heaving off into the sky. The stunning thing being that each and every character and vehicle of the 4,000 or so on that world is controlled by a real person.
Goodbye social life!
