Hey fight fans. It’s been extraordinarily difficult to post this week with a hod-load of work on (implementing MQ redesign on production system, woo yay etc.). Didn’t stop me going out to an excellent beer tasting event last night though.
Had top fun sipping daintily at glass after glass of hop, fruit and weiss beers, valiantly trying to say intelligent things about each. Unfortunately after several samplings it became increasingly difficult not to just beam drunkenly and make vague mooing noises, especially after the closing bottle of 14% Samichlaus (Santa Claus). Ho ho ho.
After this fine start we stumbled to Opium for the coup de grace, helped out by our very own stu and even bean (making good on her promises for once) ; )
The heroic beer-mixing also led to a superb hangover this morning, refreshingly piquant with a hint of broken glass and traces of burnt socks. I have been educated though: did you know the word lager means ‘beer for storage’?
