Well saturday night was spent at my dawgs bedside (she’s better now she’s been to the vet’nary) and infront of the telly at my parentals, watching arguably the best film i’ve seen all year. Intelligent, funny, and highly original. And it kinda struck a chord. So much so that i’ve gone and bought it from those lovely kids at amazon. Rachel Griffiths is kinda the main character, and she is pretty damn droolworthy (she’s a lesb. in real life, y’know.. or so i’m told.) . This is a shit photo, but hey, no time..

And the direction is fucking superb.. really, if you’ve got eight quid spare, you could do much worse..
Drool..

no, wait, hold on – it is, it’s the focknig pylon-painting film isnt it?
I remember seeing a trailer for this years ago and being appalled at the prospect of Pete Pothlethwaith playing the… urgh… love interest. He’s as leathery as The Thing from the Fantastic Four ffs.
Glad you enjoyed it but it looked truly awful.

granted.. if I’d seen the trailer for this, chances are I wouldn’t have gone to see it.. You have to trust me on this, its just one of those completely random films that manages to combine great acting with (and I hate to go all poncey, sorry..) Amazing direction.. and a storyline that gives the word ‘unique’ a whole new meaning. Maybe its just a personal, arty farty thing, but it really struck a chord.
And the pink pilon was genius.
and Rachel Griffiths full frontal, skinnydipping inside a water cooling tower.. be still. My beating heart..
