eBay madness

Yep, after the brief flirtation with the Gamecube auction, EBAY MADNESS has firmly set in. And I’m loving every minute – the opportunities for serious geek purchasing are limitless.

First, picked up a couple of those USB storage keyrings for a steal – half a gig of binary goodness in your pocket. Mmm.

Next, some clever chap has taken the time to scan in the complete set (400+) of Transformers comics (the same ones I blew countless pocket money pennies on years ago), and is selling custom CDs for 750 pence a time. Sold!

Probably the best finds though are the collected Miracleman books – these suckers have been out of print for about 12 years. For the non-geeks, these are probably the most intelligent ’superhero’ stories ever written (i.e. what would actually happen if some super-loon in lycra pants existed?) – from the legendary Alan Moore and Neil Gaiman. There are five in the series; prices are hitting $120 for the rare ones. Watch me invest in one, two and five.

Lastly, you have to check this before it disappears – examine the item’s photograph closely…
